The Covid-19 infections continued to rise in 40 United States out of 50, while the US President Donald Trump slammed China over the outbreak of the deadly disease.
The US on Thursday reported over 53,000 new cases of coronavirus, reported The Washington Post. With 10,109 new cases, Florida on Thursday (local time) recorded its biggest single-day hike.

As per the latest update by the Johns Hopkins University, the number of Covid-19 infections stands at 2,735,339 in the United States.
Meanwhile, India recorded the biggest spike so far in the daily cases as 20,903 people tested positive for the Covid-19. The total number has now risen to 625,544 including 227, 439 active cases. In Delhi, the Covid-19 infection tally mounted to 92,175.
Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research has selected 12 institutes for a clinical trial of the country's first indigenous Covid-19 vaccine.

Indonesia reports 1,301 new coronavirus cases, 49 deaths
Indonesia reported 1,301 new coronavirus infections on Friday, taking the total number of cases to 60,695, health ministry official Achmad Yurianto said.
Yurianto also reported 49 new coronavirus deaths, taking total fatalities to 3,036, while he said 27,568 people have recovered from the virus. (AP)
US donates 100 ventilators to Pakistan
The US government has donated 100 ventilators to Pakistan to help the country respond to Covid-19.
The US Embassy says the ventilators deliver on President Donald Trump’s “generous offer of these critically needed supplies.” The new ventilators are valued at $3 million.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients surpassed the number of active cases for the first time since the pandemic began in the South Asian nation.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, “out of the total 221,896 COVID-19 positive patients, 113,623 have so far recovered from the disease across the country”.
The number of active Covid-19 infections stood at 108,273.
