The Covid-19 infections continued to rise in 40 United States out of 50, while the US President Donald Trump slammed China over the outbreak of the deadly disease.
The US on Thursday reported over 53,000 new cases of coronavirus, reported The Washington Post. With 10,109 new cases, Florida on Thursday (local time) recorded its biggest single-day hike.

As per the latest update by the Johns Hopkins University, the number of Covid-19 infections stands at 2,735,339 in the United States.
Meanwhile, India recorded the biggest spike so far in the daily cases as 20,903 people tested positive for the Covid-19. The total number has now risen to 625,544 including 227, 439 active cases. In Delhi, the Covid-19 infection tally mounted to 92,175.
Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research has selected 12 institutes for a clinical trial of the country's first indigenous Covid-19 vaccine.

UK to end quarantine for travellers from 'low-risk' countries
The British government said Friday it is scrapping a 14-day quarantine rule for arrivals from a number of countries deemed "lower risk" for the coronavirus, including France, Spain, Germany and Italy.
The full list of exempted countries will be announced later Friday, the government said. The changed will take effect from July 10.
Arunachal Pradesh: Confirmed cases rise to 232
As many as 37 Covid-19 cases were recorded on Thursday in Arunachal Pradesh pushing the total tally at 232 including 160 active cases and 71 recoveries and one death, state CM Pema Khandu said.
Mexico state eyes border closure with US
In the wake of rising cases in Mexico, Sonora state authorities have asked federal government to close its border for non essential visit from the US. The Sonora state shares border with United Satets' Arizona.

Closed by Trump in 2018, US plans to re-open pandemic response office
The pandemic response office at National Security Council which was disbanded by the Trump administration in 2018 will now be reopened at the State Department amid the coronavirus pandemic.
On Thursday (local time), the National Security Council held an interagency meeting to discuss plans for the office, which will fall under the leadership of a new position: coordinator for pandemics, news agency ANI reported quoting local media reports.
China reports 5 new cases of coronavirus
China reported five new cases of Covid-19 infection, according to figures released by the National Health Commission.
Out of the five new cases of infections, two were reported from Beijing while three others brought he virus from outside the country.
No new death was registered on Friday, leaving the toll at 4,634.

The US on Thursday reported over 53,000 new cases of coronavirus, news agency ANI reported.
With 10,109 new cases, Florida on Thursday (local time) recorded its biggest single-day hike.
As per the latest update by the Johns Hopkins University, the coronavirus count in the US stands at 2,732,639. As many as 128,643 people have succumbed to the disease so far.
Brazil records 48,105 fresh cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours
Brazil on Thursday recorded 48,105 fresh cases of Covid-19 within the last 24-hours, taking the total number of infections to 1,496,858.
The death toll has risen by 1,252 to 61,884 people within the same period of time.
Brazil is the second worst-hit country from the Covid-19 after the United States.
