MoHFW in its latest numbers updated the number of people affected nationwide. 15,712 people have Covid-19 in India. Death toll has reached 507.

Health ministry said that not a huge amount of people who are asymptomatic are testing positive for Covid-19. Joint secretary L Agarwal said government is aware of this challenge.

Health ministry said that containment zones will be open for essential delivery of items. Relaxations that will be offered post April 20 will not be applicable there.

The health ministry in its briefing highlighted that adhering to lockdown norms cinema halls, shopping complexes will remain closed till May 3.
