West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee says at the chief ministers' meeting with PM Modi: "We as a state are doing our best to combat the virus; Centre should not play politics in this crucial time. We are surrounded by international borders and other bigger states and have challenges to deal with."

Andhra Pradesh CM at PM Modi meeting: 30 k people in the state identified as vulnerable and tested. We need to come back to normalcy and the corona virus stigma has to end. Families with positive case is facing social ostracisation. We have to urge people to come forward for self isolation. We need to prepare people to live with corona virus till vaccine is ready, we have to create massive awareness to prevent transmit of the virus .

We should have an exit plan from Institutional quarantine... the fear and stigma should end. We have to remove the stigma, we need to tell that 95 percent of the case is curable.

PM Modi: We stressed people should stay where they are. But it's human nature to want to go home and so we had to modify or change our decisions (kuch nirnay badalne bhi pare) . Despite that, to make sure it doesn't spread and go to villages, that's our big challenge."

In his opening remarks, PM Modi speaks about migrants, says he understands their need to go home. It is challenge for us is to not let Covid-19 spread to villages, the PM says.

At PM Modi's meeting with CMs, home minister Amit Shah spoke about the Arogya Setu App and it’s importance and to popularise it’s download, as it will help in tracking the virus; he urged CMs to initiated measures to popularise the importance of the app.

In the last 24 hours, six Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have tested Covid-19 positive, according to the organiation, reports ANI. Of these, one each is from Tripura and Delhi while there are four infected jawans from Kolkata. All of them are under treatment in designated Covid Health Care hospitals.

Apart from the chief ministers, many cabinet ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah are also present at the meeting.
