Global Covid-19 tally reaches 7.8 million, 432,632 fatalities recorded
India’s Covid-19 tally has reached 332,424 as the country reported 11,502 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry's dashboard on Monday morning. The death toll due to the coronavirus disease stands at 9,520.
While the tally continues to surge, the number of people recovering from the disease have also shown improvement. As of Monday, 169,797 i.e. over 50% of people who contracted the virus recovered from the infection and have been discharged from the hospital, data shows.

U.S. futures retreated along with Asian shares and the dollar climbed against major peers as investors gauged the danger of a second wave of coronavirus infections.
S&P 500 futures were down about 1.5%. Stocks in Hong Kong saw the bulk of selling, with losses also in Australia, Japan and South Korea. Declines were pared after key Chinese data showed some signs of economic improvement.

Union home minister Amit Shah will hold an all party meet at 11am on Monday to review the Covid-19 health crisis in Delhi.
The Delhi-based parties, which are likely to attend the meeting, are the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in power in the national capital and the Delhi unit of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
The state has reported over 40,000 Covid-19 cases while the virus has claimed more than 1,200 lives so far.
