India's Covid-19 tally over 3.32 lakh
India’s Covid-19 tally has reached 332,424 as the country reported 11,502 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry's dashboard on Monday morning. The death toll due to the coronavirus disease stands at 9,520.
While the tally continues to surge, the number of people recovering from the disease have also shown improvement. As of Monday, 169,797 i.e. over 50% of people who contracted the virus recovered from the infection and have been discharged from the hospital, data shows.

New Covid-19 in Delhi to cost ₹450
At the all-party meet chaired by Union home minister Amit Shah, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that a new test for coronavirus disease- which will cost only ₹450 - will soon be made available in Delhi.
Covid-19 tests to reach 18,000 tests from June 20: AAP at all-party meet
AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that daily testing in Delhi will reach around 18,000 tests from June 20. Further meetings will take place between Delhi CM and LG to discuss the course of action. He said that party cadre will work for Covid-19 management.
Amit Shah okays BJP's demand to waive off 50% charges on Covid-19 tests
In the all-party meeting that was chaired by Union minister Ami Shah, the BJP demanded that 50% charges should be waived off on coronavirus testing. Delhi BJP chief Adesh Kumar Gupta was quoted as saying by news agency ANI that the demand has been approved.
Working from home not panacea for virus: French minister
French finance minister on Monday said that working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic, though a preferred option, is not a solution to virus woes. The minister's statement comes at a time when the country is looking to quicken the re-opening of its economy.
"Working from home remains preferable, in the sense that it allows us to have a gradual return and can limit the circulation of the virus. But I've always considered that working from home was not the panacea," Le Maire told France Info radio.
3 blocks of Tripura's Sepahijala district declared as containment zones
The Sepahijala district of Tripura reported a spike in number of people infected with the coronavirus disease, following which the state government has declared three entire blocks as 'containment zones', PTI quoted officials as saying on Monday.
Forty five percent of the total 1,046 Covid-19 cases in Tripura were reported from Sepahijala district, officials said.
Of the 45 new cases detected in the state on Sunday, 44 were from district.
No plan to impose lockdown again in Gujarat, says CM Vijay Rupani
Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani said that the state government does not plan to impose lockdown again in the state to contain the spread of Covid-19. Since June 1, curbs have been eased in the state following which industries, offices, shops, bus and auto- rickshaw services have resumed in non-containment zones, reports PTI.
Thailand ends nationwide curfew after more than 2 months
Thailand lifted its nationwide curfew after more than two months and allowed restaurants to resume selling alcohol as Covid-19 crisis eased, with no local virus cases detected in the last 21 days. The total cases in the country are at 3,135 while 58 deaths have been registered. Thailand was the first country outside China to have reported a Covid-19 cases on January 13, reports Reuters
Congress demands Covid-19 testing for all: Report
At an all party meeting chaired by Union minister Amit Shah that is underway, Congress has demanded that Covid-19 testing be provided to all, as it is everyone's right.
The party has also demanded that ₹10,000 be paid to every family whose member is infected or is in the containment zone, news agency ANI quoted sources as saying.

Increase mortuary capacity in hospitals: Delhi govt panel on Covid-19
A Delhi government panel on Covid-19 has recommended that mortuary capacity in the city hospital be increased and 'refrigerated containers' be installed to keep the dead bodies, according to news agency ANI.

China begins mass testing in Beijing
China has begun the mass testing of hundreds of people who visited a Beijing wholesale market that emerged as a Covid-19 cluster.
The number of new confirmed Covid-19 cases have shot up to 79 in Beijing with health authorities adding 36 more to Sunday’s tally, the country’s health authorities announced early on Monday.
