As per the Union health ministry's dashboard, India on Wednesday logged 90,123 new cases and 1,290 more deaths due to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease. The active cases stand at 995,933 whereas over 3.9 million have recovered so far.

Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan had on Tuesday said that the battle against the Covid-19 is far from over adding that the government is all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the infection.

Meanwhile,The two indigenous vaccine candidates have completed Phase 1 human trials, and their developers have recruited subjects for Phase 2 trials, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) director general Dr Balram Bhargava said.
