As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India registered 2,26,770 cases and 6,348 deaths due to Covid-19. In the New Delhi the number of cases crossed the 25,000 mark. The death toll in the capital city now stands at 650. A Total of 20 officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation tested positive with the metro administration saying that all precautionary measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
A data consolidated by the chief labour commission of India revealed that 46% of the country’s migrant workers have returned back home or are on their way.
Flight operations are set to restore in United States with American Airlines and United Airlines adding flights in the month of July. This move comes after US carriers objected to China’s plan to ease ban on foreign airlines starting from June 8. United States still continues to be the worst affected nation with total cases exceeding 1.9 million and death toll at 110,171.

Over 2,500 Maharashtra Police personnel test positive for Covid-19
The Maharashtra Police said that in the last 24 hours, 4 of its personnel tested postive for Coronavirus while one died. A total of 2,561 personnel have tested positive so far, reports ANI.
With 130 new cases, Odisha’s Covid-19 tally mounts to 2,608

As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 9,851 cases and 273 deaths in the last 24 hours due to the novel coronavirus. The total cases are at 2,26,770 and the death toll stands at 6,348.

South Korea reported 39 new cases of the coronavirus as infections continued to spike after rigid social distancing rules were relaxed. The additional figures released by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention took the country’s total to 11,668 with 273 deaths, reports AP.

Brazil’s Covid death toll surpasses Italy, now third highest globally
Brazil surpassed Italy in the number of deaths caused due to the novel coronavirus, becoming the country with the third highest death toll globally. As per worldometer, the total number of deaths in Brazil now stand at 34,039.

10 Railway coaches converted into isolation ward for Covid patients at Delhi Station
As many as 10 railway coaches have been converted into isolation ward for Covid-19 patients, at Shakur Basti railway station with each ward having a total of 160 beds. Railways officials said people who are asymptomatic will be kept in the isolation ward. "Positive patients who are asymptomatic, or have mild or very mild symptoms will be kept here," said Railway Medical Officer Dr J Bhatia, reports ANI.
