United States president Donald Trump began his maiden two-day India visit on Monday. Trump, accompanied by first lady Melania, daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and top brass of his administration, arrived in Ahmedabad around 11.40 am for the first-leg of his trip.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the US president at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel international airport in Ahmedabad. The leaders then participated in ‘Namaste Trump’ rally at the Motera Stadium.
After attending the rally, Trump flew to Agra where he and the First Lady Melania Trump spent about an hour at the Taj Mahal before sunset. The delegation arrived in Delhi in the evening where Trump and PM Modi will hold talks on Tuesday.

US President Donald Trump has a slew of official engagements in New Delhi on Tuesday, the second and last day of his India visit. After a ceremonial reception at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the US president will visit the Rajghat, followed by a meeting with PM and signing of agreements at the Hyderabad. The last official engagement will be a state banquet for the visiting president at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Nitin Kumar Singh, president Trump's tour guide at the Taj Mahal says that the president and the first lady have promised to visit the monument again, reports ANI .
"I gave every minute detail of the Taj Mahal to US President Donald Trump and the First Lady. 'Incredible' was the first word they uttered after seeing the Taj Mahal. President and the First Lady have promised to visit once again," said Singh.

25,000 students will line up on Trump's Agra route
About 25,000 school students will welcome US President Donald Trump along his 13 km long route in Agra, officials said on Monday, reports news agency IANS.
A senior UP government official told IANS, "Over 25,000 students from government as well as private schools will welcome President Trump here."
He said, besides the government school students, about 500 women associated with self help groups will also welcome Trump in the historic city.
The official further said that the students will be holding Indian and US national flags in their hands and they will wave the US President.
