India's coronavirus numbers rose to 4,789 including 124 deaths, according to the latest health ministry figures on Tuesday evening. Of the total cases, 4,312 are active cases while 352 have been cured and one is migrated case.
Elsewhere in the world, UK and New York registered record daily deaths from Covid-19. While the UK daily record was 786, New York’s governor said the US state saw record 731 deaths from coronavirus in 24 hours, reports AFP.

Tamil Nadu Covid-19 cases rise to 690
Tamil Nadu health secretary Beela Rajesh said that 69 people tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday of which 63 persons are those who attended Tableeghi Jamaat event in Delhi, reports ANI.
Total number of positive cases in the state rises to 690 of which 636 are Tableeghi Jamaat attendees.

IRCTC suspends bookings for its 3 private trains till Apr 30; bookings were earlier suspended till end of 21-day lockdown, an official said on Tuesday.
All passengers who booked tickets on IRCTC-run 3 trains will get full refund, says IRCTC.
The trains are Tejas Express Ahemdabad-Mumbai, Tejas Express Delhi-Lucknow and Kashi Mahakal Express from Varanasi to Indore.
Swiss coronavirus death toll rises to 641, positive tests surpass 22,000
The Swiss death toll from the new coronavirus has reached 641, the country's public health agency said on Tuesday, rising from 584 people on Monday, reports Reuters.
The number of positive tests also increased to 22,242 people from 21,652 on Monday, it said. The government is due to give an update later on Tuesday on the epidemic situation.
