A BJP MLA in Goa tested positive for the novel coronavirus making him the first high level functionary in the state to test positive for the virus.
An aide to the MLA, confirmed the development after the MLA, who was suffering from a bout of fever for the last couple of days was tested for the virus.

Bengal to provide free ration to poor till June 2021
The chief minister of Bengal, Mamata Banerjee said that she will be extending free ration for poor till June 2021.
Mamata Banerjee's announcement came minutes after PM Modi had on Tuesday declared that the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) will be extended till the end of November in which free ration will be provided to the poor.
