Covid-19 lockdowns are gradually being lifted globally. While some countries have asked employees to rejoin offices, some have updated their list of nations whose citizens can arrive for tourism. Czech Republic took out a list of 29 nations to which Czechs can travel to. Tourist dependent places like the island-nation Malta, Florida Keys in the US and even tourist spots in Italy are reopening itself to tourists in a bid to bring back demand to one of the worst-hit sectors by Covid-19.

The WHO has raised concerns about the rise in the number of cases in the Central and South Americas. It highlighted that the US, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Mexico continue to report the highest number of cases. Worst-hit Spain and Italy have shown signs of abating the virus with the former not reporting a single-death from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Italy also saw less cases and deaths due to Covid-19. India has so far recorded 198,706 cases, with 5,599 deaths. 8,171 fresh cases were recorded.

Markets in New Delhi reopen after Delhi government eases restrictions as the lockdown is extended till June 30.

Covid-19 outbreaks could become seasonal, a study by Sydney University said. The study also indicated that the outbreaks can arise when there is low humidity.

Chinese doctor suffering from Covid-19 dies after 4 months
Dr Hu Weifeng becomes the latest casualty in Covid-19-hit Wuhan and becomes the latest casualty to be reported from China in weeks. Hu was a doctor who worked at the Wuhan Central Hospital.
China delayed releasing info on Covid-19
China delayed its Covid-19 response when it came to releasing the decoded genome and other important information to WHO. The WHO China said that they released it to WHO, 15 minutes before Chinese CCTV had the information, according to a report by the Associated Press.
Assam, Tripura and Mizoram report new cases
Barring Sikkim, all the other seven states in the northeastern region of India has reported fresh coronavirus cases. Tripura is slowly inching towards 500 coronavirus cases while Assam will soon cross the 1,400-mark in number of cases recorded.
