Himachal’s Covid-19 tally nearing 6,000; recoveries over 4,000

According to the union health ministry’s dashboard, India on Sunday logged 78,761 cases, 948 deaths due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The total cases have climbed to 3,542,733 which includes 765,302 active cases, over 2.7 million recoveries and 63,498 deaths.
This is the fourth consecutive day where the daily Covid-19 tally has been more than 75,000. The government said that over 4.14 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19 so far out of which nearly 10,55,027 samples were tested on Saturday.
The Centre on Saturday issued guidelines for Unlock 4 which will come into effect from Tuesday, and stated that metro rail services can resume from a graded manner from September 7 while public gatherings - political, social, religious - will be allowed with crowds of not more than 100 people.
The home ministry said the aim of Unlock 4 is to reopen more economic activities outside containment zones. However, the ministry has extended lockdown in containment zones till September 30.

Meanwhile Delhi, which had set an example of successfully combating the outbreak, has been witnessing a spike in daily coronavirus tally for the past few days. Delhi on Saturday logged nearly 2,000 cases, the highest since July 10, pushing the national capital’s tally to over 171,366. The total cases include 4,404 deaths and nearly 153,000 recoveries.

Rajasthan on Sunday reported 603 new cases of the coronavirus disease taking the state's tally to 79,380, according to the state health department.
While the active cases stand at 14,730, the death toll has gone up to 1,037.

India's Covid-19 recoveries on Sunday crossed 27 lakh, the health ministry said. With the recovery of 64,935 cases in the last 24 hours, recoveries in the country today exceeded active cases by 3.55 times, it added.
According to the ministry, India's recovery rate improved to 76.61% while Case Fatality Rate has dipped to 1.79%.
Uttarakhand lifts restrictions for inbound travellers
The Uttarakhand government has decided to lift the travel restriction imposed in the state, barring the entry of more than 2,000 persons into the state a day, but said that those inbound will still have to register on smart city portal.
"This is to inform you that the upper limit fixed for certain categories for inbound people to Uttarakhand is removed and wherever RT-PCR test is mentioned may be read as RT-PCR test by ICMR authorised lab or TrueNAT test," an official order said on Sunday, according to ANI.
