Highlights: 1,593 cases push Rajasthan’s Covid-19 tally to nearly 91,000

The death toll due to Covid-19 Israel has surpassed 1,000, as the government on Sunday mulled steps for imposing new restrictions to stop resurgence in infections. More than 3,000 new cases a day have been confirmed in the most recent spike. In total, the country has logged nearly 130,000 cases of the virus, with more than 26,000 still active, reports AP.

Ukraine has registered 2,107 new Covid cases, down from a record 2,836 on Saturday, and 35 related fatalities in last 24 hours, the National Security and Defense Council's monitoring center said on Sunday. Updated data takes the cumulative tally to 135,894 cases and 2,846 deaths, reports ANI.

As many as 604 people tested positive and eight died due to Covid-19 in Tripura, taking the total number of cases and deaths to 15,130 and 144 respectively. Out of the total cases, 6,220 are active cases while 8,745 have recovered so far, reports PTI.

Actor Arjun Kapoor has revealed that he has tested positive for Covid-19. He is asymptomatic and is currently under home isolation. In May, the house staff members of Arjun’s father Boney Kapoor had also tested positive for the disease.

The union health ministry on Sunday said that India recorded over 73,000 recoveries from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) disease in the last 24 hours, which took the overall recoveries to nearly 3.2 million.

Philippines health ministry on Sunday recorded 2,839 cases and 85 more deaths due to Covid-19, taking the tally to 237,365 and fatalities to 3,875. As many as 23,074 individuals have recovered from the disease, bringing total recoveries to 184,687, reports Reuters.
