Highlights: 1,593 cases push Rajasthan’s Covid-19 tally to nearly 91,000

Rajasthan on Sunday reported 1,593 Covid-19 cases, which pushed the state's infection tally to 90,956, according to an official statement. 15 more fatalities have taken the death toll to 1,137, it added, reports PTI.

CM Manohar Lal, was admitted in Medanta on August 25 and is undergoing treatment for Covid-19. In a medical bulletin issued by Hospital today, Medical Superintendent, Dr AK Dubey informed that CM is well-rested & his vitals parameters are normal: Haryana CMO said, reports ANI.

French health authorities reported 7,071 new confirmed coronavirus cases on Sunday, down from Saturday's 8,550 and also below Friday's peak of 8,975. Friday's figure had set a new all-time high of daily additional infections for the country, reports Reuters.

Madhya Pradesh on Sunday recorded the highest single-day spike of 1,694 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total count of infections in the state to 73,574, health officials said. With 29 patients succumbing to the infection since Saturday evening, the overall toll rose to 1,572, they added, reports PTI.

Britain on Sundayrecorded 2,988 new daily coronavirus cases, up from 1,813 on Saturday to the highest level since May 23. The number of fatalities, however, remained at a low level, with two reported deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test in the previous 24 hours, government data showed, reports Reuters.

Haryana logged 2,277 new Covid-19 cases and 25 deaths on Sunday, taking the total number of cases to 76,549 including 806 deaths, the state's health department said, reports ANI.

Tamil Nadu on Sunday witnessed a significant milestone as the number of Covid-19 recoveries crossed the 4 lakh mark with 5,820 more patients getting discharged in the state, the health department said, reports PTI.

Gujarat on Sunday reported the highest single-day spike of 1,335 new coronavirus cases, taking the total count of infections in the state to 104,341, health department said. With 14 more deaths, the cumulative toll went up to 3,108, it said, reports PTI.

Russia has registered 5,195 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, which brings the cumulative total to 1,025,505, the country's coronavirus response center said on Sunday, ANI.

Jammu and Kashmir registered 1,316 Covid-19 cases Sunday, which pushed the union territory's tally to 43,557. The total cases include 10,446 active cases, 32,327 recoveries and 784 deaths, reports ANI.

As many as 10,794 people tested positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh, taking the state's tally to 4.98 lakh. The total cases include 99,689 active cases, 3.94 lakh recoveries, reports PTI.

Kerala health minister KK Shailaja said that the state reported 3,082 new Covid-19 cases, 2,196 recoveries and 10 deaths on Sunday. The number of active cases have climbed to 22, 676 while 64,755 people have recovered, reports ANI.

1,797 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Bihar in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 16,603. 1,30,300 patients have recovered till now and the death toll stands at 754, the state's health department said, reports ANI.

Nepal reported 980 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 46,257, the health ministry said on Sunday. Nine more people died due to Covid related complications on Sunday, taking the death toll to 289, it added, reports PTI.

As many as 1,774 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Jharkhand, pushing the state's tally to 49,817. The total cases include 15,025 active cases, 34,330 recoveries and 462 deaths, reports PTI.
