India on Sunday reported a record rise of more than 90,000 cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), also the highest single day-spike in the world, pushing the tally over 4.11 million, according to the union health ministry's dashboard. Maximum number of cases have been coming from Maharashtra followed by Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. As many as 73,642 patients have recovered and been discharged from either home isolation or hospitals in the last 24 hours. The total numbers of recoveries have reached nearly 32 lakh.

Covid-19 cases across the world have topped 26 million with the United States reporting the highest number of cases at 6,243,849 followed by Brazil (4,092,832), according to Johns Hopkins University’s tally. The global toll from the infection has gone up to 877,438.
1,593 cases push Rajasthan’s Covid-19 tally to nearly 91,000
Rajasthan on Sunday reported 1,593 Covid-19 cases, which pushed the state's infection tally to 90,956, according to an official statement. 15 more fatalities have taken the death toll to 1,137, it added, reports PTI.

France reports 7,071 new daily Covid-19 infections

Tamil Nadu on Sunday witnessed a significant milestone as the number of Covid-19 recoveries crossed the 4 lakh mark with 5,820 more patients getting discharged in the state, the health department said, reports PTI.

As many as 10,794 people tested positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh, taking the state's tally to 4.98 lakh. The total cases include 99,689 active cases, 3.94 lakh recoveries, reports PTI.

980 fresh cases push Nepal's Covid-19 tally to 46,257
Nepal reported 980 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 46,257, the health ministry said on Sunday. Nine more people died due to Covid related complications on Sunday, taking the death toll to 289, it added, reports PTI.
