India on Monday recorded 20,021 new coronavirus cases and 279 new deaths, as per the Union health ministry. The new infections took India's Covid-19 tally to 10,207,871.
The country's total recoveries stand at 97,82,669 with a national recovery rate of 95.83 per cent according to the official data provided by the health ministry. The steady decline in the number of new coronavirus cases is being continued, on Sunday lowest single day rise of 18,732 fresh coronavirus cases were reported, as per the official data.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday signed the $900 billion pandemic relief package aimed at providing cash benefits to businesses and individuals. Brazilian vice president Hamilton Mourao has tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, reported ANI. Brazil is the third worst hit country from the coronavirus after the US and India. The new coronavirus variant found in the UK has been reported by many countries so far. South Korea has also been added to the list after it confirmed the first three cases of the new Covid strain, as per the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency.
