Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting Union Budget for the financial year 2020-21 in Parliament on Saturday. This is the minister's second budget.
Like last year, the finance minister arrived at the Parliament in the morning with the traditional 'bahi-khata. She was accompanied by her deputy, minister of state Anurag Thakur.
In the Economic Survey, released on Friday, the government predicted that economic growth would pick up to 6.0% to 6.5% in the fiscal year beginning April 1, but also warned that it may have exceeded its deficit target to revive growth.

To build a seamless national cold supply chain for perishables, Indian Railways will set up Kisan Rail through PPP model so that perishable goods can be transported quickly, says FM. Krishi Udaan will be launched by MoCA on international and national routes.
