India reports 92,605 new cases
India’s tally of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) went past the 5.4 million mark and the country reported 4,303,043 recoveries so far, the Union health ministry’s data showed on Sunday. The number of active cases stood at 1,010,824 and the country’s death toll rose to 86,752, according to the health ministry’s coronavirus dashboard at 8am.

30 new Covid-19 cases in Mizoram; tally rises to 1,578
At least 30 people, including 17 Assam Rifles personnel in Mizoram, have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the state's tally to 1,578, an official said on Sunday.
Of the 30 new cases, 20 were reported from Lunglei district, 4 each from Kolasib and Lawngtlai, one each from Aizawl and Mamit districts, the official said.
Pakistan reports 640 new Covid-19 cases
Pakistan's total of number coronavirus cases reached 305,671 on Sunday after 640 new cases were detected in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said.
One patient died during the period, taking the number of Covid-19 fatalities to 6,416.
Moscow's Covid-19 toll rises by 13
Moscow's Covid-19 death toll has risen by 13 over the past day to 5,057, the Russian capital's coronavirus response centre said in a statement on Saturday.
"Another 13 patients, who were diagnosed with pneumonia and tested positive for the coronavirus infection, died in Moscow," the centre said.
On Friday, the single-day increase to the death toll was 11.
UK: Hefty fine imposed on people violating Covid-19 isolation rule
People in England who break new rules requiring them to self-isolate if they have been in contact with someone infected with Covid-19 will face a fine of up to 10,000 pounds ($12,914), Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Saturday.
The rules will apply from September 28 to anyone in England who tests positive for the virus or is notified by public health workers that they have been in contact with someone infectious.
Covid-19 infection continues to fall in Melbourne
Australia’s second-largest city, Melbourne, has moved close to easing severe lockdown restrictions after recording only 14 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday.
It was the second day in a row new infections fell below 30, after 21 were reported on Saturday, the lowest daily number since June 19.
