Karnataka reports 10,947 new Covid-19 cases

Iran reported its highest daily number of deaths from the coronavirus, with 239 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the country’s Health Ministry said Wednesday.

The figure comes a day after new cases of Covid-19 hit a record for the third time this week.

The Czech Republic reported 4,457 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, its highest one-day tally since the pandemic started, the country's health minsitry data showed on Wednesday. In total, 90,022 cases have been recorded since March, along with 794 deaths, reports Reuters.

Telangana registered 2,154 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the tally to 2.04 lakh while eight more deaths pushed the toll to 1,189. Cumulatively, 33.46 lakh samples have been tested. The samples tested per million population was 89,910, reports PTI.
