All eyes were on Rajya Sabha as Home Minister Amit Shah said that Internet services in the union territories of Jammu and Kashmir will only be restored after the local administration deems it is time. On the issue of NRC he said that lawmakers were confusing Citizenship Amendment Bill and National Register of Citizens, and explained that the NRC is not a divisive exercise. He also maintained his earlier position on the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019, saying that Hindus, Jains, Parsis, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists will get Indian citizenship as they faced religious persecution in India's neighbouring countries Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
