Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA wins trust vote in Maharashtra Assembly, gets 169 votes
Maharashtra Floor Test Live Updates: The Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government won the floor test in Maharashtra assembly on Saturday. The alliance crossed the 145 mark with ease and secured 169 votes during trust-vote motion.
The Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi won the floor test in Maharashtra assembly on Saturday.
Governor BS Koshyari has asked Thackeray to prove majority by December 3.
NCP leader Dilip Walse Patil, who was appointed pro-tem speaker on Friday replacing Kalidas Kolambkar of the BJP, will conduct the floor test which will be held through a head count.
Thackeray was sworn-in as the chief minister on Thursday evening along with six other ministers - two each from the Sena, the Congress and the NCP. The MVA is an alliance of the Shiv Sena, NCP and the Congress.

'We shall easily prove majority in the house': Chhagan Bhujbal
Asked about the floor test today, NCP leader and newly-inducted minister Chhagan Bhujbal expressed confidence of easily proving majority. "We have a very comfortable majority with over 165 members supporting us. We shall easily prove our majority in the house today," said Bhujbal.
No discussion on floor test in meeting with BJP leader, says Ajit Pawar
NCP leader Ajit Pawar, when asked about the BJP MP Prataprao Chikhalikar meeting him today morning, said it was a courtesy meet, reports ANI.
"It was just a courtesy meet; even if we are from different parties we all have relations with each others. (There was) no discussion on floor test. As Sanjay Raut said,our alliance will prove our numbers today in the house," Pawar said.
