Congress' Ashok Chavan moves trust vote on behalf of Maha Vikas Aghadi. The trust vote was seconded by NCP leader Nawab Malik, Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde and NCP leader Jayant Patil.

Maharashtra assembly speaker has indicated that floor test will be conducted shortly after countering Opposition leader Fadnavis' doubts. The speaker further read out the SC order.

The Pro-tem Speaker Walse Patil tells Fadnavis, "You did not asked for the permission to raise point of procedure."

"We were informed about the session at midnight. Government wanted to keep our members away form it," says Fadnavis.
