India has surpassed the grim milestone of 10 million Covid-cases on Friday. As per the Union health ministry, India's coronavirus tally stands at 10,031,223 with more than 9.5 million recoveries. While India is the second worst hit countries from coronavirus, its case fatality rate is amongst the lowest in the world.

As per the ministry, Kerala and Maharashtra are major contributors to active Covid-19 caseload of India. Together both these states makes up 40 per cent of the active cases in India.

The UK has been witnessing a new coronavirus variants that sparked off new fears in the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) says its in close contact with UK health officials regarding the matter. Qatar expects to receive the first batch of coronavirus vaccine on Monday while Iraq projects to deal with Pfizer Inc for 1.5 million shots of its Covid vaccine within next few days. Malaysia too is on path to sign a deal with AstraZeneca to supply its coronavirus vaccine for the a fifth of country's population.

Tamil Nadu logs 1,114 new coronavirus cases
