Germany is looking to impose tougher restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus after a soft shutdown failed to bring contagion rates down to manageable levels, reports Bloomberg.

Italy's Interior Minister Luciana Lamorgese discovered during a cabinet meet on Monday that she had Covid-19. Lamorgese is asymptomatic and tested positive after undergoing a routine swab before the cabinet, a source in her office said, reports Reuters.
