As per the Union health ministry's dashboard, India on Friday logged 81,484 fresh Covid-19 cases and 1,095 deaths which pushed the tally to over 6.39 million. The total cases include 942,217 active cases, over 5.35 million recoveries and 99,773 deaths.
India on Thursday began its fifth stage of unlock, which is also called ‘reopening.’ Various state governments issued guidelines for this phase of unlocking in their respective states, after broader guidelines were released by the ministry of home affairs (MHA) on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, United States President Donald Trump and First Lady Melanie Trump tested positive for Covid-19 and will be placed under quarantine. More than 207,000 Americans have been killed by Covid-19 and millions have been infected.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said Rusia does not plan to reimpose lockdowns across the country for now despite a rise in Covid-19 cases. Russia reported 9,412 new coronavirus cases on Friday, its highest daily tally since May 23, pushing the national total to 1,194,643.
