India's count of cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Wednesday reached 9.73 million, the Union health ministry's data showed. A total of 32,080 new cases were logged in the last 24 hours, up from 26,567 in the previous spike, the ministry's dashboard showed. The cases reported by the health ministry on Tuesday were India's lowest single-day count since July 10, when 26,506 cases were registered, it said.

With 1,272 fresh coronavirus cases and eight fatalities, Madhya Pradesh's Covid-19 tally rose to 218,574 cases and 3,366 deaths.
Health officials said that 1,323 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking total recoveries to 201,987 cases, reports PTI.
Tamil Nadu Covid-19 tally reaches 794,020 cases, 11,836 fatalities
Tamil Nadu reported 1,232 fresh infection and 14 deaths on Wednesday, taking the state's tally to 794,020 cases and 11,836 total fatalities.
With 1,315 patients recovered, total recoveries stand at 7,71,693 patients in the state. There are 10,491 total active cases in TN, reports PTI.
