India on Monday reported 111 deaths due to coronavirus, with positive Covid-19 cases rising to 4,281, according to health ministry figures. Of the total numbers, there are 3,851 active cases and 318 cured patients.
In an address to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, PM Narendra Modi said it will be a long way against coronavirus and requested the citizens to not be tired or take rest.
“I state it with full responsibility that this is a long war against the coronavirus pandemic. But we do not have to get tired or take a rest in this war. We have to emerge victorious. Today, the country has only one goal and one resolve: to win this war,” said PM Modi in his address on BJP’s foundation day.

Apart from 120 new Covid-19 cases, Maharashtra also recorded seven deaths from the disease on Monday, according to state official. Of them, four in Mumbai and one each in Navi Mumbai, Thane and Vasai-Virar. This takes the death toll in the state due to coronavirus to 52.
