The total number of Covid-19 cases in the country rose to 3,577 by Sunday evening. Of these, there were 3,219 active cases, 83 deaths, 274 cured / discharged and one migrated case, according to the health ministry.
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call, people across the country switched off lights in their homes at 9 pm for nine minutes and lit earthen lamps, candles or switched on the torches and mobile phone lights in a show of solidarity in fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Singapore reported 120 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, by far its highest daily rise, and quarantined nearly 20,000 migrant workers in their dormitories, reports Reuters.
Of Sunday's new cases, 116 were locally transmitted and many were linked to two dormitories that house migrant workers, who will now have to stay in their rooms for 14 days.
