"India has a lot of potential. Never say never," Federico Marchetti said adding that he has never visited India but would like to take a trip for a few months as trip of a few days will not be enough, he said. "India, I feel, will be intense and I can't just stay a few days like I stay in any other country," he added.

If you can meet customers' demand through technology, through algorithm, then it means less waste, said Federico Marchetti.

The pandemic has led to an acceleration in online shopping, but the pandemic is not only the reason, said Federico Marchetti. "Digital shops have improved their quality. But physical shops will not disappear. There will be a fine balance between the two," he said.

"In 1999, I thought one day fashion is going to intersect technology," Federico Marchetti on how he started.

Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said that India’s economy is on the path to recovery after being hit by the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. "The virus is more worrying than economic recovery," Sitharaman said on being asked what worries her the most.

"Given all the difficulties, lockdown, all difficulties, people of India kept going on. People who are weathering it out every day are giving me strength," Sitharaman says.

"The vaccine will not be deterrent. It will bring in positivity and optimism. Economic activity will pick up," says Sitharaman.
