Highlights: ‘Need PM Modi’s blessings to work for Delhi’s welfare’: CM Kejriwal

The Delhi Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) MS Randhawa on Sunday said all security arrangement for crowd management, anti-terror measures, crime prevention have been made in and around Ramlila Maidan for the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal.

Creative posters have cropped up in support of the Aam Admi party chief Arvind Kejriwal. "Nayak 2 is Back Again", read a banner which sports a photograph of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor the main lead in the film on the left and Arvind Kejriwal wearing Aam Aadmi Party's cap on the right.

A wax statue of AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has been installed at Prabhakar Wax Museum in Punjab's Ludhiana. The sculptor, Prabhakar, said the statue is a way of congratulating Kejriwal for his win.

“Baby Mufflerman” Aavyan Tomar, the toddler who stole hearts when he dressed up as Arvind Kejriwal on counting day, is also likely to attend the swearing-in ceremony.

Referring himself as "son of Delhi", the AAP convener early on Sunday morning tweeted stating, "Delhiites, your son is going to take oath as Delhi chief minister for the third time. You must come to bless your son".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seven lawmakers of the Bharatiya Janata Party who represent the city and all the eight of its newly-elected members of legislative assembly have been invited to Arvind Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony. PM Modi will not be attending the event as he is in Varanasi.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to turn up at the Ramlila Maidan as Kejriwal and his ministers take the oath of office.

Arvind Kejriwal contested from New Delhi constituency in Delhi Assembly Elections. Congress fielded Romesh Sabharwal while BJP fielded Sunil Yadav from this constituency.

Delhi CM-designate is going to be sworn-in after 12 pm.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kapil Mishra on Saturday slammed AAP for inviting the heads of government schools and said that “forcing” the teachers to come for the ceremony is the beginning of a wrong tradition.

School heads in Delhi were requested by AAP to attend the swearing-in ceremony, along with 20 teachers, including vice-principals, entrepreneurship mindset curriculum coordinators, happiness coordinators and teacher development coordinators.

"Special invitees were chosen to send out the message that the victory in the assembly polls held on February 8 was also a verdict on their contributions to make Delhi better," said Manish Sisodia.

'There is nothing wrong if Arvind Kejriwal ji thinks that the same cabinet should be repeated. People are happy with the work of the cabinet and we won the elections on basis of our work. We will continue to build and maintain the confidence of the people," said Manish Sisodia.

Fifty people have been chosen by AAP to share stage with Delhi’s chief minister designate Arvind Kejriwal, as he takes oath in Ramlila Maidan.
