Maharashtra coronavirus cases reach 203
More than 660,000 people have been infected and more than 30,000 have died due to the novel coronavirus around the world. In India, 1024 people have been infected by coronavirus and 25 people have died so far. India reported 106 new cases in the last 24-hours. PM Narendra Modi in his radio address asked people to follow lockdown measures to help curb the Covid-19 contagion. Italy and Spain continue to report surge in both death rates and cases. Spain reported 838 deaths in the last 24 hours. US CDC asked New York residents strictly to remain inside their homes.

Moscow mayor asks every Muscovite to self-isolate
Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin has asked all residents in Moscow to self-isolate. Citizens of the city will only be allowed to leave their homes in the case of a medical emergency, to travel to work if necessary, and visit a grocery stores or pharmacies.

MHA forms Empowered Groups under Disaster management Act
The Ministry of Home Affairs have formed an empowered groups to address issues that might arise during lockdown. 11 teams have been formed to address various issues concerning procurement of PPEs, medical emergency management plan, augmenting human resource and capacity building etc.
Andhra Pradesh reports two new cases, 21 people affected in state
Two new cases that were reported from Andhra Pradesh were in contact with people who had been tested positive earlier. State health officials told media the new cases had contact with a returnee from UK.

UK official says lockdown could last six months
England's Deputy Chief Medical Officer Jenny Harries said that people in the UK must not suddenly revert back to normal living ways. Speaking to Reuters, Harris said, "Over time, probably over the next six months, we will have a three week review, we will see where we are going. We need to keep that lid on and then gradually we will be able to hopefully adjust some of the social distancing measures and gradually get us all back to normal."
6,465 people placed under surveillance in Kashmir
Jammu and kashmir government has placed more than 6,000 people under surveillance in a bid to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the region. Among these 34 people have Covid-19.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House Coronavirus Task Force member, says more than 100,000 will die in United States

2 in Indian Army test positive
2 officials from the Indian Army have tested positive for Covid-19. One of the officials is a JCO in Dehradun.

More than 1,000 people in India have coronavirus. 1,024 cases have been reported so far. Kerala and Maharashtra have the most Covid-19 infected patients.

Ministry of Home Affairs in a new advisory has enlisted newspapers, battery, mobile chargers, body wash, shampoos, and oral care etc have been included.

Om Prakash walked for 800 kms over five nights and six days to reach his home in Siddharthnagar. Upon reaching home he said, "There was no option but to leave Delhi immediately on foot as we all lost our jobs and there was no money left with us. Transport services were suspended and the disease posed a threat to our lives,” Om Prakash, a father of three.

The Breath Analyser test that was required for aviation personnel has been temporarily suspended due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
