As coronavirus scare looms across the world with at least 30 people infected with the novel Covid-19 in India, airports in the country are all set for a mammoth screening exercise.
Health minister Harsh Vardhan on Thursday said in the Parliament that 28,529 persons across the country have been brought under surveillance.
Prime Minister Modi's visit to Brussels to attend India-EU Summit was cancelled on Thursday and the meeting has been rescheduled, said the MEA spokesperson.

Sikkim govt suspends issuing ILP to foreigners
Sikkim government suspends issuing Inner Line Permit (ILP) to foreigners due to coronavirus scare: PTI quotes an official.
"In view of rapid spread of coronavirus, no ILP may be issued to foreign nationals, including those from Bhutan, with effect from today," a Home Department notification issued by Joint Secretary Parina Gurung said.
In addition, no permits will be issued by the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department for travel to Nathula with immediate effect, she said.
Foreign nationals are required to obtain ILP from the state government to visit Sikkim, while a domestic tourist must get permit from the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department to visit Nathula, a mountain pass in East Sikkim district which links the state with China's Tibet Autonomous Region.
PM Modi not to visit Brussels for India-EU Summit due to coronavirus
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not visit Brussels for the India-EU Summit, scheduled for later this month, due to coronavirus outbreak.
“As far as India-EU Summit is concerned which PM Modi had to attend, the health authorities of both the countries suggested that travelling must not take place at present. So, it has been decided that Summit will be rescheduled on a mutually convenient date,” MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said at a press briefing.

All primary schools in Delhi - - both government and private -will remain shut till March 31 in view of coronavirus outbreak. The deputy chief minister and education minister Manish Sisodia made this announcement on Thursday.

The airline industry could lose up to $113 billion in revenue this year due to the impact of the new coronavirus, an industry body warned Thursday, as the epidemic spreads rapidly worldwide, reports AFP.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimated revenue losses to airlines' passenger business of between $63 billion and $113 billion -- with the higher figure for a scenario where the virus spreads more widely.

5 who came in contact with coronavirus positive Paytm employee quarantined in Delhi
A Paytm employee in Gurugram tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday,
and five people from Delhi who came in contact with him have been tested and quarantined till their results come in government health officials told news agency PTI on Thursday.
Health officials are also coordinating with their counterparts in Noida to ascertain the number of people he came in contact with.
'Very homesick', say residents in coronavirus-hit Wuhan
Since January 23, China's Hubei province, which is the epicentre of the novel coronavirus outbreak, was put under an unprecedented lockdown following which Wuhan has cut off from the outside.
A 30-year-old woman told news agency AFP, "Some people coming (to China) from overseas could create a new eruption of the epidemic, so being in Wuhan could now be the safest choice."
241 isolation wards created in Uttarakhand
Over 240 isolation wards have been created across Uttarakhand and 50- ICU beds are ready in AIIMS Rishikesh in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, Dr Amita Upreti, Director General of health services of the state said on Thursday, according to news agency ANI.
"The government is taking all the measures to curb the disease and 241 isolation wards have been created across the Uttarakhand and 50 ICUs are ready in AIIMS in Rishikesh," she was quoted as saying.
