Over 2,000 students being brought back to Bengal from Kota
West Bengal home secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay on Thursday said that a total of 2,368 students were being brought back home from Kota where they were stranded due to the lockdown.
Russia's coronavirus cases top 100,000
Russia's coronavirus case tally has mounted over100,000-mark after record daily rise. Total cases in Russia climbed 106,498 on Thursday, the country's coronavirus crisis response centre said.
In the last 24 hours, 101 people died due to the virus taking the total toll to 1,073.
Railways ensures availability of essentials across India
Union minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday tweeted that the railways is ensuring ample availability of essentials in every corner of the nation. It is transporting 1,15,000 litres of Milk and 8 tonnes of medicines from Salem in Tamil Nadu to Dimapur in Nagaland.
"Railways is committed to fulfil the needs of people from Northeast India," he said.
