India’s Covid-19 cases near 40,000-mark, death toll at 1301
India's Covid-19 infections neared 40,000-mark on Sunday while the death toll stood at 1,301, according to the health ministry's figures.
The total number of active coronavirus cases are 28,046 while 10,632 patients have been cured / discharged.
Germany's confirmed coronavirus cases rise by 793 to 162,496
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Germany increased by 793 to 162,496, data from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases showed on Sunday, reports Reuters.
The reported death toll rose by 74 to 6,649, the tally showed.

IAF plane's departure for Delhi-NCR delayed due to rains
IAF's fighter aircraft training mission departure to pay tribute to Covid-19 frontline workers has been delayed by one hour, due to rains, reports ANI. Now the fighters are expected to be over Delhi-NCR area, approx at 1100 hours, depending on the rain/weather conditions.

500 students stranded in Kota reach Delhi in 40 buses
Nearly 500 Delhi students stranded at coaching hub Kota in Rajasthan during the lockdown reached Kashmere Gate ISBT here in 40 buses early Sunday morning, reports PTI.
Delhi's Transport minister Kailash Gahlot said the students would be sent to their homes from Kashmere Gate ISBT after medical tests.
Help desks were set up at Kashmere Gate inter state bus terminus (ISBT) where doctors, police personnel, transport, civil defence and other personnel were deployed to assist the students for medical tests and boarding DTC buses for their homes.

US coronavirus deaths climb by 1,435 in 24 hours: John Hopkins tally
Coronavirus deaths in the United States climbed by 1,435 in the past 24 hours, a tally by Johns Hopkins University showed Saturday, bringing the total number of fatalities to more than 66,000, reports AFP.
The Baltimore-based university had recorded more than 1.1 million cases in the country as of 8:30 pm Saturday (0030 GMT Sunday), with 66,224 deaths, a two percent rise from a day earlier.
