Highlights: India's Covid-19 cases rise to 28,380; 886 deaths reported

Delhi's Hindu Rao Hospital will resume services of casualty and emergency wards including the Flu Clinic and the three OPDs -Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Medicine- with restricted entry of patients and attendants from today, NDMC Commissioner Varsha Joshi said on Monday, reports ANI.

European planemaker Airbus issued a bleak assessment of the impact of the coronavirus crisis, telling the company's 135,000 employees to brace for potentially deeper job cuts and warning its survival is at stake without immediate action, reports Reuters.

Five new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Odisha's Balasore district, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 108, according to the state health department, reports ANI.

Gujarat Congress leader Badruddin Shaikh has passed away due to Covid19, party leader Shaktisinh Gohil said, reports news agency ANI.

Gohil tweeted about Shaikh's death on Sunday, saying "he was relentlessly working with poor people and was infected with Covid-19.

The United States recorded 1,330 more novel coronavirus deaths in the past 24 hours, according to figures reported late Sunday by the Johns Hopkins University, reports AFP.

The country now has an overall death toll of 54,841, with 964,937 confirmed infections, according to a tally by the Baltimore-based institution at 8:30 pm (0030 GMT Monday).
