India is preparing to resume domestic flights from May 25. Three states – Karnataka, Punjab and Kerala – have decided on a 14-day quarantine for passengers, with variations. As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday, there are over 1.31 lakh Covid-19 cases including 3,867 deaths due to the infection.

Across the world, the number of novel coronavirus cases has passed 5.25 million with more than 339,000 deaths, according to a tally from official sources compiled by AFP.

New Delhi's RML hospital dean tests positive for Covid-19
The dean of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences at New Dehi's Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital has tested positive for coronavirus infection, reports PTI.
Dr Rajeev Sood, who is looking after the management of Covid-19 manpower at the hospital, tested positive for the infection on Saturday.
He is now under home isolation and contact tracing has been initiated by hospital authorities.
Maharashtra Police tally of Covid-19 cases rises to1,758

132 people reach Gaya after being brought back from Oman
One hundred thirty two people reached Gaya in a Oman-Delhi-Gaya repatriation flight under the Vande Bharat Mission to bring back Indian citizens stranded abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Gaya DM Abhishek Singh says, "Sixteen returnees hail from Jharkhand & we will send them to Ranchi by a bus. Rest of them will be sent to 14-day quarantine in Bodh Gaya".: ANI

Extremely ill-advised to reopen airports in red zones, says Maharashtra home minister
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmuk said it is "extremely ill-advised" to reopen airports in red zone amid the coronavirus pandemic. His comments come after Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced that all domestic flights are set to resume in India from May 25 as part of its gradual reboot of air travel services amid the outbreak, reports PTI.

India records 6,767 new Covid-19 cases, 147 deaths in 24 hrs
India recorded yet another single-day spike in coronavirus cases on Sunday, with 6,767 new infections reported in last 24 hours. The number of deaths in the same period stands at 147.
The country's tally has now gone up to 1,31,868 including 73,560 active cases, 54,440 cured / discharged patients and 3,867 deaths, as per the Union health ministry data.
Karnataka observing complete lockdown, only essential services exempt
Karnataka is observing a complete lockdown today. The state government announced a few days ago that there will be a total lockdown on every Sunday while relaxing restrictions for the fourth phase of the lockdown that began May 18. The Sunday lockdown across the state is a step to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Barring shops selling essential supplies, everything will be shut till 7am tomorrow.

Maruti Suzuki employee at Manesar plant tests Covid-19 positive
An employee at Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar plant has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a company spokesperson, reports PTI.
The company is also looking at “a possibility of a second case” of infection at the facility but has ruled out any impact on the business part due to the situation.
