Coronavirus cases in India crossed 13,800 mark and 452 deaths were reported across the nation. UK, US and Spain continued to report high number of deaths over a period of 24-hours. Germany offered a ray of hope as their health minister said that the pandemic might have come under control in the nation. US President Trump looks forward to reopen the economy but tech giants and governors remain wary of what could happen if lockdown was suddenly lifted in the nation which has most deaths and cases globally.

India lifts curbs on exports of medicines made from Paracetamol
India on Friday removed restrictions on exports of medicines made from Paracetamol amid the outbreak of Covid-19, reports PTI.
However, restrictions on exports of Paracetamol active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs or raw materials) will continue, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.
To export a product, which is under restricted category, an exporter requires no-objection certificate or permission of a licence from the DGFT.

34 new cases in Maharashtra, total rises to 3236
Maharashtra recorded 34 new coronavirus cases since Thursday, taking the total count in the state to 3,236. Of the new cases, Pune reported 23, Mumbai six ,Malegaon (Nashik) four, and Thane one.
But in a relief for the worst-affected state, no new deaths from the virus were reported since Thursday.
Karnataka reports 38 new cases, total number of infections rises to 353
Thirty eight new positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Karnataka, taking the total number of affected in the state to 353, the Health department said on Friday, reports PTI.
This is the highest single day tally so far.

Union Minister Sadananda Gowda says there is no problem as far as hydroxychloroquine or paracetamol are concerned, reports ANI. He said, "We assess every day the requirement for domestic consumption and the excess that can be exported. We keep 10 days stock with us, at present we've sufficient APIs."

Delhi's deputy chief minister and education minister Manish Sisodia said on Friday that no private school will be allowed to increase fees during lockdown.
"It has come to my notice that many schools are taking fees arbitrarily and charging transportation fees even when schools are closed. Private schools should not stoop to this level. Be it private or government schools, they cannot hike fees," he said.

In Gujarat, 92 more Covid-19 cases have been reported in Gujarat, taking the total number of coronavirus patients in the state to 1021. These include 74 discharged and 38 deaths, state health dept said on Friday. : ANI
No new case in last 15 days from 3 locations in Delhi: Health Minister
Delhi's health minister Satyendar Jain told ANI on Friday that no case has been reported in last 15 days from three locations in the national capital, including Dilshad Garden. 60 containment zones have been identified till now. He said this while talking about Delhi govt's 'Operation Shield' that is being conducted in areas from where Covid-19 cases are reported.
He added, "Total 1640 Covid-19 cases reported in Delhi till today, of which 62 positive cases were reported yesterday. 38 persons have expired till date, 34 are in ICU and 6 are on ventilator."
Chhattisgarh's coronavirus cases go up to 36
With three more coronavirus positive cases being reported from Korba's Katghora town, the number of Covid-19 cases in Chhattisgarh have risen to 36.
Till Friday, 23 people from the state have been discharged after recovering from the infection and with three fresh cases detected on Thursday night, the total number of active cases in 13 in the state.
COVID-19 pandemic could cost millions of jobs in global tourism industry: UN
Millions of jobs in the global tourism industr could be lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has impacted travel like no other event in history and caused 96 per cent of all worldwide destinations to introduce restrictions in response to the outbreak, the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has said, reports PTI.
Over recent years, as the United Nations specialised agency for tourism, UNWTO has been regularly monitoring travel facilitation and observing a continuous trend towards more openness.However, COVID-19 has dramatically interrupted this, the UNWTO said in a new report.
Almost all global destinations have imposed restrictions on travel since January 2020, including complete bans on all travel as they work to contain the pandemic, it noted.
