Covid-19 continues to stagnate economies and livelihoods across the world. More than 1.8 million people are infected by Covid-19. India has seen cases cross the 9,000 mark but more than 1,000 people have recovered from Covid-19 nationwide. The country remains under a three-week lockdown. PM Narendra Modi will address the nation on April 14 at 10 AM.

New Delhi records 28 coronavirus deaths, 1,510 cases: Report
According to authorities, the capital city of new Delhi recorded 28 deaths and 1,510 cases due to the novel coronavirus, reports PTI.
Death toll in Karantaka mounts to 8
The health department of Karnataka said that a 65-year-old man from Bengaluru who was admitted at a hospital on 12th April, and had tested positive for coronavirus died today. This is the 8th death due to Coronavirus in the state, reports ANI.
Several new areas put under containment zones
47 areas under containment zone in Delhi. Sant Nagar, Burari and Madipur among the new places added to the list.

US CDC hopes outbreak to peak next week
US CDC feels that the Covid-19 outbreak will peak next week. More than 20,000 have died in the US due to coronavirus disease.
Report says China asked Germany to speak positively about pandemic handling
A German newspaper reported that China asked German government ministers to praise how the Chinese handled the Covid-19 pandemic. Report says that German minister's believe "Chinese officials are pursuing an intensified information and propaganda policy with regard to the coronavirus". China denied reports of launching any propaganda initiative.

More than 9,300 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across the country.
Covid-19 test kits ordered from China to arrive on April 15
Gangakhedkar during the daily press briefing said that the test kits will arrive on April 15. This is the first consignment of the test kit.

ICMR says test kits well-stocked for next 6 weeks
ICMR's R Gangakhedkar says more than 2 lakh tests have been conducted and there are enough test kits to conduct tests for next 6 weeks.

Rajasthan Covid-19 cases touch 847
43 fresh cases have been reported in Rajashtan. 20 new Covid-19 cases have been reported from capital city Jaipur.
