Delhi coronavirus tally rises to over 83,000
The national capital reported 2,889 fresh cases of coronavirus on Sunday, taking the final tally to 83,077, including 27,847 active cases. According to data published by the Delhi government, 52,607 people have recovered from Covid-19 while 2,623 others succumbed to the disease.
Covid-19 cases spike in Mumbai's Dharavi

China: Beijing ramps up Covid-19 testing capacity
Beijing has ramped up coronavirus testing efforts and has tested about a third of the Chinese capital's population so far, a city official said on Sunday, as authorities seek to control an outbreak stemming from a wholesale market in mid-June.
As of Sunday noon, Beijing had collected 8.29 million patient samples for testing and completed 7.69 million tests, Zhang Qiang, an official from Beijing's municipal committee, told a press conference.
Brazil announces agreement with UK to produce Covid-19 vaccine
The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced an agreement with the United Kingdom to acquire technology to locally produce a vaccine against Covid-19, that is, currently being developed by the University of Oxford and British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.
