Covid-19 infections are set to cross 3 million mark with 2,00,000 people dead globally. With over 800,000 people recovered, global recovery rates have gone up to 29%. India's death toll due to Covid-19 has reached 26,917 with 826 people dead nationwide. Canada, US, Germany and Spain along with India seek to loosen lockdown restrictions as economies seek to heal from the devastating blow of the pandemic.
While addressing the nation in his monthly Mann Ki Baat programme, PM Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India has adopted a people-driven approach to face the threat posed by Covid-19 pandemic.

Experts agree that mass random testing is the key to beating Corona. In India, a bottle neck is stopping us from scaling testing from the current 40,000 per day to 1 lakh tests a day, for which test kits are already in stock.

Germany reports 1,737 fresh Covid-19 cases
The Robert Koch Institute said that Germany has 154,175 cases of coronavirus and 140 deaths.

Following areas in Delhi, Mumbai have turned into green zones from being pollution hotspots
In Delhi, eight locations - Vinobapuri, Adarsh Nagar, Vasundhara, Sahibabad, Ashram road, Punjabi Bagh, Okhla and Badarpur - which were pollution hotspots have now become green zones. In Mumbai - Worli, Borivali and Bhandup - too have decreased pollution significantly. Gufran Beig, director of SAFAR told PTI that air quality index in these areas now lie in 'good' or 'satisfactory' category.
