In Delhi, eight locations - Vinobapuri, Adarsh Nagar, Vasundhara, Sahibabad, Ashram road, Punjabi Bagh, Okhla and Badarpur - which were pollution hotspots have now become green zones. In Mumbai - Worli, Borivali and Bhandup - too have decreased pollution significantly. Gufran Beig, director of SAFAR told PTI that air quality index in these areas now lie in 'good' or 'satisfactory' category.

PM says it is sad that Ramadan is being celebrated under the shadow of Covid-19. He prayed that Covid-19 is defeated before Eid. He also wished Jains on the holy anniversary of Tirthankara Swami Rishabhdeva and Lingayat community of the anniversary of the seer Basava.

PM says farmers are like Krishna, who provided the akshaya patra, ensuring food grains reach out to the people.

PM Modi said wearing masks might be a new practice to stop the spread of Covid-19, but it will soon be the new normal so that the contagion can be broken. He also said due to the pandemic people have stopped spitting in public.

PM said India needs to believe on its history, sciences along with believing that it also has a role to play when it comes to evidence-based findings but Indians tend to believe what other foreign researchers or findings say.

PM said police force's humanitarian side has come into the fore as they have taken every step to ensure needy people get food and senior citizens are taken care of and overall citizens do not face trouble.
