India continued to register a higher number of Covid-19 infection cases as it logged 96,424 new cases on Friday. The total number of cases in the country is above 5.21 million now, according to the number published on the union health ministry's website on Friday.

In the United States, the infection increased by 0.7% as compared with the same time Thursday to 6.7 million, Bloomberg reported citing data collected by Johns Hopkins University. The increase compares with an average daily increase of 0.6% over the past week. Deaths reached 198,114.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump said his administration expects to have enough vaccines for every American by April.
