India’s active coronavirus cases dropped below the seven-lakh mark for the third day in a row on Sunday, according to the Union ministry of health and family welfare. The total caseload has surpassed 7.8 million while the toll from the disease stands at 118,534.

As many as 7,078,123 people have recovered from the infection either home isolation or have been discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, several states have promised to provide Covid-19 vaccine to the people for free.
