As the coronavirus (Covid-19) disease continued to infect thousands of people across the world, the global tally reached to more than 37,081,600 on Sunday, as per the figured published on John Hopkins website. The number of people succumbing to the disease was at 1,071,046.

In the United States, 57,459 people tested positive for Covid-19 in a day, pushing the tally to over 7,711,00. It was the highest number in more than two weeks. While, France reported record new Covid-19 cases for the second day in a row, adding almost 27,000 infections.

India's Covid-19 tally surpassed 7 million mark. However, the number of daily cases are declining as the number hovers around 70,000 now. While the recoveries are over 6 million, union health ministry said on Sunday.

239 new Covid-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh

At least 239 more people, including two security personnel, have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, pushing the tally to 11,998, a health department official said here on Sunday.

Of the 239 fresh cases, 89 were reported from the Capital Complex region, Changlang (36), West Siang (34), East Siang (18), Tirap (15), Lepa Rada (8), Lohit (7) and Lower Subansiri (6), the official said.

Donald Trump is no longer contagious: White House doctor

President Donald Trump is no longer contagious, nine days after being stopped in his tracks by Covid-19, his physician said in a statement released late Saturday.

"This evening I am happy to report that in addition to the President meeting CDC criteria for the safe discontinuation of isolation, this morning's Covid PCR sample demonstrates, by currently recognized standards, he is no longer considered a transmission risk to others," the president's physician Sean Conley said in the statement.
