India recorded 86,821 new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the last 24 hours, according to the Union health ministry dashboard on Thursday. This pushed the nationwide tally to over 6.3 million.
The country also saw 1,181 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative death toll to 98,678.
