Record daily high of 10,746 new coronavirus cases in Ukraine
The global Coronavirus tally neared 50 million as the total number of cases jumped to over 49,228,500, as per the John Hopkins University figures. In the United States, several states including, Illinois, Ohio, North Dakota, New York reported a record number of daily cases. As per the figures by the John Hopkins Univerisity, US has as many as 9,727,345 total Covid-19 cases so far, while the number of people succumbing to the disease stood at 236,025.

Meanwhile, in Europe, France on Friday confirmed a new record of 60,486 Covid-19 cases within 24 hours, beating Thursday’s tally of 58,046 cases, official data showed.

Delhi overtook Maharashtra and Kerala by reporting 7,178 Covid-19 cases in a span of 24 hours, becoming the largest contributor to the new 50,356 single day infections, according to Union Health Ministry on Saturday, reports PTI.

Ukraine registered a record 10,746 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the health minister said on Saturday.
Maksym Stepanov said the new cases had taken the total number of confirmed infections to 450,934, with 8,312 deaths. He said 187 new deaths had been registered in the past 24 hours.
