On Saturday, India’s daily coronavirus (Covid-19) tally remained below the 50,000-mark after 44,684 cases and 520 related deaths were logged in the last 24 hours. The total cases have now reached 8,773,479 which include 129,188 deaths, over 8.16 million recoveries and 480,719 active cases. The active cases continue to be below the 500,000-mark and constitute 5.55 per cent of the total case load.
Delhi which continues to be worst-hit from the pandemic- added over 7,800 Covid-19 cases and 91 deaths on Friday. The positivity rate- which is the percentage of people who test among the total tested for the disease, further rose to 13.8 per cent.

Jharkhand registeres 288 new Covid-19 cases, four fresh fatalities
Jharkhand's coronavirus tally reached 105,781 after 288 fresh cases and four more deaths were reported, a health department official said on Saturday.The state now has 3,291 active cases, while 101,569 people have been cured of the disease so far, he added, reports PTI.
Telangana's coronavirus caseload climbs to over 265,000
Telangana recorded 1,050 fresh coronavirus cases and four more related deaths in the last 24 hours which pushed the total cases to over 265,000. As many as 16,404 patients are under treatment and 41,002 samples were tested on Friday, reports PTI.
