India on Saturday reported 2,411 new cases and 71 deaths due to coronavirus, taking the total number of active cases to 26,535. So far 1,223 people in India have died due to the virus.
As a measure to control the spread of coronavirus outbreak in India, the Centre on Friday extended the nationwide lockdown by two more weeks. India has been under lockdown since March 24 due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The government has profiled the districts into red, green and orange zones to bring in some ease during restrictions. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued fresh guidelines as well in this regard to all the states and union territories permitting considerable relaxations in the districts falling in green zones.

7 people test positive for Covid-19 in Odisha, total at 156
Seven people tested positive for Covid-19 in Odisha's Jajpur district on Saturday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 156, repoted PTI qupting officials.
With 55 people cured of the disease and one death, the number of active cases in the state now stands at 100.
First special train carrying nearly 1,200 migrant labourers reaches Patna
The first 'Shramik Special' train carrying 1,187 stranded migrant labourers from Jaipur reached the Danapur railway station here on Saturday afternoon.
The 24-coach train departed at 10 pm on Friday from Jaipur and reached the Danapur railway station around 2 pm, East Central Railway, Hajipur, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO), Rajesh Kumar told PTI.
Train with 1,200 migrants to arrive in Patna today
A special train with 1,200 migrants will be arriving in Patna today. Health screening of all passengers will be done at Railway School. After the screening, they will be sent to their respective districts in the state, said Kumar Ravi, DM Patna.
