With this, ₹5 per bottle would be charged as Covid Cess on Country Liquor, ₹10 per bottle on Indian Made Foreign Liquor, ₹5 per bottle/Can on Beer
Home Minister expresses concern over rising Covid-19 cases in Central Armed Police Forces
Union home minister Amit Shah took review meeting of director generals (DGs) of all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) on Friday. He appreciated the commendable work done by our CAPFs & expressed concern over increasing Covid-19 cases in the CAPFs.
The home minister also discussed measures to prevent its further spread & ensure the well being of our forces.

Madras High Court orders closure of all state-run TASMAC liquor shops in Tamil Nadu, permits only online sale of liquor. There have been protests in the state against the state government's order to open standalone liquor shops amid Covid-19 lockdown.
On Monday, the Tamil Nadu government had announced the opening of TASMAC outlets (state-run liquor shops) in all areas except in containment zones.

Number of active Covid-19 cases have gone down in Uttarakhand: Govt
Number of active cases of Covid-19 has decreased to 16 in Uttarakhand, state chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh told news agency ANI on Friday.
"The doubling rate of cases is 96 days and the rate of recovery of Covid-19 patients stands at 74%, he said.

15 healthcare workers from 2 Delhi govt hospitals Covid-19 positive till date
Till Friday, 10 healthcare staff at Delhi's Hindu Rao Hospital and five at the Kasturba Hospital have been found Covid-19, according to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation, reports ANI.
All those found infected have been sent to quarantine and necessary sanitisation has also been undertaken.
Odisha increases quarantine period from 14 to 28 days
Odisha has increased quarantine period to 28 days from the present 14 days including 21 days of institutional quarantine and subsequent seven days home quarantine, a government spokesperson said on Friday, reports ANI.
All returnees will have to follow the norms, he said. The decision taken in view of 28 days incubation period of COVID-19 virus.
