Coronavirus continues to ravage global economies as infections across the globe continue to surge past 37 lakh. Though more than 12 lakh people have recovered, the recovery rate globally still remains 33%. US remains still the worst-affected country but the Trump administration is pushing the governors to reopen their states to restart the economy even as infections are surging.

India's recovery rate rose up to 29% as the amount of recovered cases tally crossed the 14,000-mark. India currently has recorded 49,391 cases of Covid-19 with 1,694 deaths.

Mumbai private doctors asked to reopen clinics
Mumbai private doctors below 55 years of age have been asked to reopen their clinics. Director of Medical Research said that doctors will be provided with PPE and will be paid.

Germany records 947 new cases
The Robert Koch Institute in Germany confirmed to Reuters that the nation has recorded 947 fresh cases of Covid-19. The total number of infected in Germany is currently 164,807.
India records 1,694 Covid-19 deaths
India has recorded 49,391 cases of Covid-19. Maharashtra and Gujarat continue to be the most affected states. 1,694 people have died so far due to coronavirus nationwide.
More than 15,000 people have died in Latin America
An AFP tally says more than 15,000 people have died due to Covid-19 in Latin American and Caribbean region. Brazil has the most amount of fatalities.
UP's GB Nagar police recommend installing AarogyaSetu
GB Nagar Commissioner of Police, A Dwivedi told ANI that people out in public spaces will have to download Aarogya Setu app. He said, "If smartphone users do not have Aarogya Setu App installed on their phones, while out in a public place, then this will be punishable offence for the violation of lockdown norms."

2,333 dead due to Covid-19 in 24 hours in US
US despite recording a low single-day death toll on Tuesday has reported a high death toll on Wednesday morning as a John Hopkins tally showed that 2,333 people died in 24 hours due to Covid-19.
