The United States, Brazil and Russia continue to report high numbers of fresh coronavirus cases. The number of Covid-19 deaths recorded daily have decreased in the last two days but Brazil and Russia continue to report high numbers of Covid-19 deaths as well as cases. Brazil’s coronavirus cases inch towards 8.9 lakhs with over 43,000 people dead. The Latin American region has already surpassed 80,000 deaths.

Rajasthan says pass/ NOC no longer needed for entry, exit into state

There will be no longer be any requirement for any person to obtain a pass or NOC for the purpose of entry or exit in to or out of Rajasthan, the state home department said on Tueday, reports ANI.

The order came almost a week after the state 'regulated' interstate movement at its borders with neighbouring states in view of the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state. The arrangement was put in place for a week.

UK Covid-19 patients to get dexamethasone steroid immediately

Britain will immediately start giving dexamethasone to coronavirus patients, after a trial showed the steroid saved the lives of one third of the gravest cases, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said Tuesday, reports news agency AFP.

"We're working with the NHS (National Health Service) so that the NHS standard treatment for Covid-19 will include dexamethasone form this afternoon," Hancock said.
